Pride Center West Texas

Pride Center West Texas has a charitable mission to improve the lives of sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) minorities through the provision of safe gathering spaces, educational offerings, and social services that prioritize those who identify as LGBTQN+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, questioning, nonbinary, and the rest of our family members +). Our services currently include a youth program that includes a weekly Youth Group peer support group for teens 17 and younger, drop-in hours for that same age range at the youth center in downtown Odessa each Tuesday and Friday from 4PM-8PM, and a weekly Young Adults Group peer group Wednesdays from 6PM-8PM.
We also provide social and peers support groups for adults, e.g., Monthly Book Club, Monthly Painting Night, Wondrous Women social events for LGBTQIA+ women, the annual Basin Pride Festival, and sporadic "Pride" events throughout the year.
"Hard" services include free therapy for all folks (regardless of insurance access); sessions may take place virtually or in-person and in English or Spanish. We provide access to a once-a-day HIV prevention pill (via PrEP Navigation) and contract with local businesses and agencies to provide LGBTQN+ Cultural Competency Trainings.
