CASA of West Texas

The mission of CASA of West Texas is to recruit, train and support committed volunteers who are appointed by the court to advocate for the best interest of children in the foster care system.

CASA of West Texas supports volunteers who advocate for child abuse victims in Midland, Howard, Dawson, Gaines, Andrews, Martin and Glasscock Counties.  When severe child abuse and neglect occurs in a home, foster care may be the only option to keep a child safe.  When a child enters foster care, a judge will appoint a CASA Volunteer to advocate for that child's best interest in court and in the community.  Being in foster care is very difficult for a child.  Every child in foster care needs someone they can count on to be there for them...someone to speak up for them--an advocate.
