Family Promise
Our Mission is 'To end homelessness, one family at a time'.
Family Promise of Midland assists families that are homeless. To qualify, the family must be homeless and have at least one child age 17 years or younger in their care. We define homeless as not being able to find a place to live, not being able to afford a place to live; the family is living with friends, relatives, in a hotel/motel, on the street, or in their vehicle.
We are not an emergency shelter, but rather a program of services. The family must contact us for an interview. If accepted into our Midland Interfaith Hospitality Network (MIHN) program, the family will be provided food, shelter, childcare, counseling and case management services free of charge. We also have a family transitional housing program called Families Forward. If a family is accepted into that program, they may reside in one of our duplexes for a minimal program fee for up to 2 years, while receiving case management services and free childcare.
